Andrew N. Knauss is an Associate of Potter & Murdock, P.C., representing and advising the firm’s clients in all areas of the firm’s practice, with a particular focus on matters involving litigation, employment, and government contracting. In addition, he provides advice and counsel to the firm’s clients regarding intellectual property (copyright and trademark) matters.
While at the University of Michigan law school, he earned the Jack C. Radcliffe, Jr. Award for excellence in mentoring first year law students in its legal practice and legal writing courses. His team reached the finals of the National Cultural Heritage Moot Court Competition, sponsored by the DePaul University College of Law. He also received a Certificate of Merit for his academic performance in “Bloodfeuds,” an upper-level law course centering on historical legal traditions of justice and dispute resolution.
While in law school, Mr. Knauss interned in the Office of Contracting & Personal Property Management at the Smithsonian Institution. Following his graduation from law school, he worked as a legal intern in the Office of the Secretary and General Counsel at the National Gallery of Art.
Prior to attending law school, Mr. Knauss received a Certificate in Digital Design from the Corcoran College of Art & Design in Washington, D.C. (now the Corcoran School of the Arts & Design). He is skilled in using digital design and video editing software.
